This article will help you if you encounter any of the following issues:

- Your Nokia Steel HR doesn't sync with the Nokia Health Mate app
- Your Nokia Steel HR doesn't display the correct time

 


 

Your Nokia Steel HR doesn't sync with the Nokia Health Mate app

If your Nokia Steel HR doesn't sync with the Nokia Health Mate app:

  1. Make sure that your Nokia Steel HR appears in Devices in the Nokia Health Mate app.
    If not, you need to install it.

  2. Select Devices in the Nokia Health Mate app and make sure that your Steel HR is connected. If not, try to turn off Bluetooth on your mobile device and then turn it back on.sleep_is_not_detected.jpg
    You'll know that the connection with your Nokia Steel HR has been established when you can access the alarm selection screen. Your data should then start syncing.sleep_is_not_detected_Kopie.PNG
  3. If your Nokia Steel HR is not installed on the main user profile of your account, log out from the app and then log back in with the correct user profile.
  4. If you're using an iOS device, make sure your Nokia Steel HR is displayed in the Bluetooth settings of your device.
    If not, the Nokia Health Mate app should prompt you to pair your watch when you open the app.

Android 6 or higher users may have to change the permissions of the app to be able to connect via BLE. To do so, go to Settings > Apps > Nokia > Permissions and enable Location.

If your Nokia Steel HR still doesn't sync with the Nokia Health Mate app, we recommend you to perform a factory reset. To do so, perform the following steps:

  1. Go to the Settings of your mobile device, select Bluetooth and locate the watch in the list of devices. Select the small icon to the right of the watch and select the option to Forget or Remove the device. 
  2. Press the button of your Nokia Steel HR for 5 to 6 seconds.
  3. Press the button three times until “Factory reset” is displayed.
  4. Press the button for one second until “Reset in 5 clicks” is displayed.
  5. Press the button five times to effectively reset your watch.
  6. Try the installation process again.

Your Nokia Steel HR doesn't display the correct time

If your Nokia Steel HR doesn't display the correct time, try to recalibrate the hands of your Nokia Steel HR. If that doesn't fix the issue, it may be due to a low battery, in which case you should charge the battery.
