Athletes generally have a different body type which requires a specific body composition calculation algorithm. If you work out more than 8 hours a week and have a resting heart rate below 60 bpm, you may need to use the Athlete mode.

  1. Open the Nokia Health Mate® app.
  2. Go to Profile.
  3. Tap your name under your profile picture.
  4. Tap Next.update-profile-android.jpg
  5. Tap Athlete.
  6. Tap Save.


You can also activate Athlete mode from the web application.

  1. Log into the Health Dashboard web application.
  2. Click on the Menu icon in the upper right-hand corner.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Select the user you would like to change to Athlete mode.
  5. Click the menu option Mode and select Athlete.
