Installing the Nokia Home App

If the Nokia Home app is not already installed on your device, perform the following steps:

  1. Type homeapp.nokia.com in your device’s web browser.
  2. Tap Download on the App Store.
  3. Tap GET.The installation process starts.

When a new app version is available, you will be prompted to update it.

Plugging In Your Nokia Home

The Nokia Home is designed to be easily integrated into your home or office environment.

  1. Place your Nokia Home in its final location.You can tilt your Nokia Home using the magnetic table stand. This allows you to vertically adjust the area that you want to monitor.
  2. If you want to install your Nokia Home with Ethernet, use a Cat-5 Ethernet cable to connect it to your Wi-Fi router.Installing your Nokia Home in Ethernet can be useful to avoid interference problems.
  3. Select the correct plug adapter from the travel adapter plug set.
  4. Locate the top side of the plug adapter (labeled “TOP” on the adapter).
  5. Locate the top side of the AC power supply (labeled “TOP” on the power supply).
  6. Insert the tab located on the top side of the plug adapter in the notch located on the top side of the AC power supply.
  7. Push the plug adapter until you hear a click. Make sure the adapter is properly inserted. If not, pull the button to disengage it and try inserting it again.
  8. Connect the power supply cable to your Nokia Home’s micro USB port.
  9. Plug the power supply cable to an outlet.Your Nokia Home displays a solid orange light for a few seconds and then switches to a blinking blue light. It is now ready to be set up.

Note that there’s a plastic film on the lens of your Nokia Home. Make sure you remove it before you start using it or it will impact the quality of the video.

Installing Your Nokia Home

Creating a Nokia account

If you don’t already have a Nokia account, you have to create one in order to set up and use your Nokia Home. To do so, perform the following steps:

  1. Open the Nokia Home app.
  2. Tap Start.
  3. Enter your email address and password, and then confirm your password.
  4. Tap Next.
    You can now start the installation process.

If you already have a Nokia account, log in to the Nokia Home app and proceed with the installation process.

Installing Your Nokia Home in Wi-Fi

Once you are logged in to the Nokia Home app, you can start installing your Nokia Home. To install it using a Wi-Fi network, perform the following steps:

  1. Open the Nokia Home app.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap New camera.
  4. Tap Next.
  5. Tap the Nokia Home you want to install.
  6. Tap Next.

If you want to use the Wi-Fi network configured on your device, perform the following steps:

  1. Tap Quick setup.
  2. Tap your password.
    The Nokia Home app starts upgrading your Nokia Home’s firmware. It can take up to a few minutes.

If you want to use another Wi-Fi network, perform the following steps:

  1. Tap Setup another network.
  2. Tap the network you want to use.
    If it’s not available, swipe the top of the screen down to refresh the list of networks.
    In the case of hidden SSID, tap Manual configuration.
  3. Enter the password and tap OK.
    The Nokia Home app starts upgrading your Nokia Home’s firmware. It can take up to a few minutes.

You can install up to 20 Nokia Home on your account.

Installing Your Nokia Home in Ethernet

If no Wi-Fi network was connected, the Nokia Home app automatically starts installing your Nokia Home in Ethernet and prompts you to plug in the Ethernet cable.

Once you are logged in to the Nokia Home app, you can start installing your Nokia Home. To install it using an Ethernet network, perform the following steps:

  1. Open the Nokia Home app.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap New camera.
  4. Tap Next.
  5. Tap the Nokia Home you want to install.
  6. Tap Next.
  7. Tap Ethernet.

  8. Plug the Ethernet cable in the Ethernet port of your Nokia Home. 

The Nokia Home app starts upgrading your Nokia Home’s firmware. It can take up to a few minutes.

Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are automatically disabled as soon as the Ethernet installation is complete.

You can install up to 20 Nokia Home on your account.
